Ken had been given a name of a genteman that we go to church with by two different people to call in terms of a job lead. What was so cool about this connection is where it is leading; right before Ken had called this gentleman, he was driving home one day and just let his mind wander as he listened to a news broadcast on the radio talking about the increase of those who do not know where their next meal comes from. He had the thought that maybe working at City Union Mission or something might be something we could look into to do together as a family, to be able to minister to others through practical needs. I had been on our church website and noticed that the same gentleman Ken contacted about the job lead, just so happened to be the Life Group leader of the Life Servants City Union Mission group! It was kind of an 'aha' moment; maybe this was the reason that Ken needed to meet Micah.

Anyway, one of my friends on Facebook posted this article and I was amazed how timely it was with how much God is stirring our hearts right now. We're looking forward to being able to serve alongside the other lifegroup members in a couple weeks, doing a family/game night at City Union Mission, and being able to be the hands and feet of Jesus in whatever capacity that looks like.
