I thought I'd take a break from the ever-frustrating task of designing my blog to share some pics of things we're doing around here for school right now! And what's great is while we're learning the ABC's and 123's, we're also learning about God's heart for us!
On the nice early days of school, we enjoyed school outside!!!
A still-life portrait of pumpkins~Hannah's favorite subject is art!
Dry-erase markers + glass-covered table=perfect "chalkboard"!!
Little 'sis gets to sit in on the school fun as well, (provided she doesn't eat the crayons!)
We learned place values a few weeks ago.
Copywork consists of verses from the book of Proverbs! Mom's been learning from these too!
Our Bible history timeline, taped right to our wall. So far we're up to the story of Jacob & Esau.
My attempt at making homemade playdough for making water jugs like the one Rebekah carried in the Bible story where Isaac's servant went to find Isaac a wife. Our jugs were a little on the short, stubby side since the dough was so soft!! :-)
Hannah's Bible story reader. This kid just picks this thing up and reads to me like a pro!!
Yes, that there be a snake in MY house!! Not one, but TWO! Dad found these while digging in the ground one day at work and decided to bring them HOME! They were only temporary roommates thank goodness. How's that for science?!?
Mikayla's art 'lesson'! Love these paint with water books for her!
Her future's so bright she's just gotta wear shades!!
