There's a kind of hush...all over the world...

Okay so I know my intro title is a bit cheesy. But really, it just seems like when it snows everything seems to come to a calm, to a standstill, to a contemplative state. Today here in Olathe we got our first "measurable" snowfall. As much as it throws many a person's world upside down to even entertain the thought of driving in such a slushy, slippery, unsteady and chaotic mess, to me it brings a sense of calm and peace. I will say though, that with having been home from work for 2 days with the stomach flu (need I say more), this week has brought many an opportunity for a look inward which unfortunately I did not take advantage of as I probably should have.

Looking outside today though, just reminds me of Jesus and the pure love that He has for me as His child. It reminds me of how He uses his Holy Spirit in my life to bring a "hush" and calmness in my personal times of chaos and discouragements. The same way that the snow envelops everything it falls upon, is the same way that He envelops and wraps me in His loving arms. And how beautiful it is to look upon.....
