Work day number three--Katrina clean up

Rose the same time today. Headed back to the home we had started on yesterday afternoon, but unfortunately it was without the KY group. We saw them off when they left for home, and after they were gone, Debbie, Karissa, and I just stood there with looks on our faces like "now what"? Went straight to their home this time. Worked with Karissa on tearing out shelving and dry wall, helped Debbie with cleaning up dry wall. Oh, did I mention how many times Karissa "slugged" me while on this trip? She must have Volkswagon "radar" because it was slug bug red here, slug bug green there......I never had a chance! I think I'm still bruised. Anyways, we finished up around noon at this home. Kenneth, the owner wanted to take us over to show us where he used to work. I believe it wasn't for any other reason just to be able to continue to have company, and to show us his gratitude. His daughter said that Kenneth was always the one that others went to for help, and he wasn't accustomed to asking for it himself. She very emotionally said that th were grateful for the help. After he showed us where he used to work, he patted Ron on the arm before we left and said "love ya". We drove back to the assocation for lunch, and then helped Ron clean some things out of the Uhaul, and clean out the mops from the day before. Headed back to the church and showered, and we enjoyed a HYSTERICAL afternoon of playing pool and ping pong. Well, let's just say I TRIED to play pool. Apparently me playing pool is very amusing to everyone. We also played ping pong, and it wasn't even any kind of game because we were all being so spastic. It was a really great time. I don't think I've laughed that hard in a long time. We went to Dreamland BBQ afterwards....KC BBQ is definitely where it's at I must say. But hey, I got a t shirt! Went back to the church and loaded up the u haul as much as we could for our departure the next morning.
